SCROLL
ABOUT
I grew up in the deep Swedish forest between two lakes with an agronomist as a father and a biologist as a mother. Together they were building their dream life: a red wooden house, surrounded by nature and a self sufficient garden. Foraging and fishing was a big and important part of my childhood.
I started my cooking career with 13 years in a local restaurant. When I turned 21 I was seeking new experiences and wanted to expand my horizon in the culinary world, so I moved to Zurich.
In 2017 the opportunity came to return to the north of Sweden to work at Fäviken Magasinet. I got deeply inspired by the work of Magnus Nilsson. Not alone by his cooking but also about the conversation he pushed in the industry about sustainability.
In 2020 I became head chef and part owner at Restaurant Josef in Zurich. With passion and enthusiasm we create seasonal contemporary European dishes and provide a sustainable environment for our staff.
FOOD
PHILOSOPHY
I learned at an early age to appreciate and value nature. I use the same approach in my profession as a chef. I want to inspire people to understand and appreciate well produced food again.
By sourcing the products carefully and support biodiversity we can create longevity and health for our planet and ourself.

I like to use a mix of modern and ancient techniques when I cook. My roots from Scandinavia and my new hometown in central Europe define my style: European Contemporary cuisine.
